Write a Travel Story

Have you ever dreamed of traveling somewhere far away but couldn’t go? Don’t worry if you never thought you’d get there – here’s a way to live the dream without the expensive plane tickets. Build your own cache and place a travel bug inside with a guide to how your adventure should play out. Explain where you would like it to go, and if there are any stops along the way. Then track it through Geocaching.com and follow the “bug” as it lives your dream. You’ll be amazed who you meet along the way!

Just think of places you’d like to go and what you’d like to do there. Maybe it’s going on an amazing trip or to a location you’ve already visited. There are 100’s of thousands of caches around the world so chances are there’s one you might want you travel bug to go to. You can even go online and find a location you would like it to reach. Your story can be as simple or as detailed as you like.

You’ll need to buy a travel bug tag (they cost $6 or $7) and register it in the Travel Bug section. Place it in a cache and then track it online as it passes from person to person on one adventure after another.
